How does sync work?

There are two parts of the Sumyt sync process:

1) Workout scheduling to watch

When a new workout is created, a sync is initiated for that workout. Only a limited number of workouts can be scheduled on your Apple Watch, so it will either get synced immediately or queued for when space is available, based on the date of workouts. When a workout is edited, it will initially be queued to resync, and when this resync occurs, it will replace the workout on your Watch.

2) Workout completion via HealthKit

Completed workouts are synced via Apple's HealthKit framework. When a sync is performed, any new workouts since the last sync are added to Sumyt. If the workout plan ID matches that of a workout created by Sumyt, the workouts are automatically paired together. If a workout is in the past and no workout was synced from HealthKit, it will instead be shown as not completed.
